Anthony Joshua will face Jake Paul in an eight-round match which will be shown in real-time on Netflix.
British boxer Anthony Joshua stated he will "stamp all over" the American and "break" his opponent as the two fighters met personally to publicize the upcoming boxing match.
Ex twice world boxing king Anthony Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a mammoth disparity - at Miami's venue on 19 December.
Boxer's Mindset
"I'm going to damage his features and damage his physique. My goal is to show my superiority," Joshua, 35, declared.
"I'll stamp all over him. That's how fighters think.
"I will seriously aim to injure him. That's what I want to do."
Civil Interaction
In spite of these statements, a calm Anthony Joshua and social media star Paul - normally famous for his theatrics - exchanged pleasantries and maintained decorum with each other.
Paul instead criticized ex Joshua opponent Francis Ngannou and described him as "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian turned down a fight offer.
Taking Aim at Fury
Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, criticized UK opponent Fury - and declined a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a Paul victory.
"Jake Paul outshines Tyson Fury - he showed up," Joshua said.
"I give him credit for that."
Serious Opponent
Despite declaring he will hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua declined to comment unfavorably about his rival's pugilistic talent.
"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he remarked.
Paul's History
Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has mostly fought MMA fighters or faded names since turning professional.
He was defeated by Briton Fury in 2023.
Financial Success
Still, the relative newcomer is still one of boxing's largest commercial attractions, regularly earning huge paydays.
Forecast and Confidence
The 28 year old forecast a stoppage in the fourth or fifth round and stated he would stop the much-anticipated match between Joshua and Fury, which is reportedly under discussion for 2026.
"It will be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul stated.
Physical Difference
As both boxers engaged in the customary stare-down, with their physical disparity clearly visible, it drove home just how surprising this complete situation is - and how amazing it is that the match is really happening.
